My group had four people, and we talked about many things. We spent long time introducing ourselves. My conversation partner was Tokio, and he talked about himself and his family. I observed that all of LLI members ware women except one man who was my conversation partner. That made me thinks that women are more interested to meet international students and know more about other countries than men.

      One of people in my group was very interested to my country when I was talking. In addition, I noticed that Tokio surprised when he saw Makkah Tower, and he was asking me many questions about it and about king Abdullah. However, I noticed that Tokio was not interested when one of people in my group was talking about her presentation. He did not ask or interrupt her ever because her presentation has long paragraphs, and she was just reading them. When we arrived to LLI, I was so nervous. I was concerned about how the conversation will be even LLI members were smiling when they saw us. After I start talking with my conversation partner, I felt more comfortable than before. I noticed that he was so friendly, and he encouraged me to keep talking with him. I surprised that I did not need to use any of question that I wrote when I was preparing at home, the conversation kept naturally. Actually, I learned that if I were nervous, I would never talk fluently. Tokio was so friendly, he asked me couple of questions about my husband and he was interested to know how we met each other. In addition, I asked him to tell me about LLI, and what he said surprised me because I could not believe that there are women who are over 60 years old, want to learn other languages. I think studying will be difficult for them. That makes me think we should not waist our time without doing useful things.

      At next time, I will try to talk about pregnancy and having a first baby with my conversation partner. In addition, I will ask her to give me some advice that might help me when I become a mother. I think it will be a good topic to talk about with conversation partner.
